The focus of this course is on Corporate Etiquette...the Rules of Engagement in the Library!

Have you learned to play a sport or a musical instrument? The rules came first, then the endless practice to gain proficiency. Etiquette is the same: rules first, then practice. This course will introduce the basic rules for workplace etiquette in today's information-age.

After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Understand the evolution of etiquette
  • Determine the appropriate dress for the workplace that will be professional and bring you credibility
  • Make yourself relax and stay focused on your job at hand
  • Utilize the basic communication "tools" correctly and effectively
  • Utilize correct etiquette when attending business social events
  • Handle cleanliness issues in the break room
  • Utilize electronic devices while still considering etiquette practices
  • Deal with different cultural, ethnic or physical perspective of your patrons
